  1. 1. It’s easy for guests to locate the parking lots, entrances, restrooms, kids’ areas, and where to sit during service.
  2. 2. Our parking lots, lobbies, and worship center are at or less than 80% full.
  3. 3. Our children’s rooms are safe, clean, and organized, so parents aren’t forced to bring their kids to the service.

Hurdles
  • we are set-up/ tear-down and cannot control the environment some times. We are working on creating a volunteer culture that empowers people to go above and beyond.
  • Volunteers being to task oriented and not people oriented. As a Dream Team Leader, I know that I have to do better.
  • Personally, I lean more toward verbal announcements and handouts about what ministries our church offers vs relying solely on the NS groups as not every person that walks through the doors will go through the NS course. I like having a ministry fair type situation at least once per year if not twice. Some people will not volunteer for something because they don’t feel qualified or good enough HOWEVER if that same person is asked to be on a team or do something it boost that confidence and they will be more likely to say yes..returning to the purpose of building relationship. People like to feel valued :-)
Enablers
  • People decide if they will keep attending within the first 8 minutes
  • I feel like we have a lot of volunteers and we do a good job of making sure that new people are shown the ropes, but I think we need to be intentional about 2nd and 3rd timers as well.
  • Because if people don’t feel welcomed, noticed and engaged they most likely will not return. Our entire focus should be and is to connect guest with people and help to form a heart relationship with God
