Hurdles
  • Consistency
  • Mindset of a few…
  • We are inwardly focused.
  • Busyness. Leadership. It must be a priority for all our staff and leaders.
  • Lack of understanding/ clarity between leadership and persons executing these rolls.
  • Committed people taking the time to invest in others. Be open to reaching out to others… not just family or the popular.
  • Leader is on top of things and she keeps us informed.
  • Not completely sure.
  • We all just need to remain humble and nonjudgmental at all times.
  • Maybe technology/text alerts announcements? Not sure but sometimes information might not get noticed without a conversation with someone.
  • For me, not knowing names of people. Also not knowing if people are actually new or someone I don’t know.
  • Voulnteers
  • Nothing
Enablers
  • We want people to have the ultimate worship experience
  • To be inviting to those who are new to His Kingdom so they feel welcome and comfortable to hear His Word!
  • We want to be a church the community wants to go to worship and be equipped to serve and build God’s kingdom.
  • We only have one opportunity to make a first impression. We need more leadership and attention in this area. Now is the time to be ready as people return to in-person worship.
  • To make sure we are connecting well with folks
  • So we can be welcoming to everyone and ready for them!
  • People come… but they don’t always come back, even if the visit was positive. We don’t want to lose anyone …. Not thinking numbers but seeking the lost and those needing to grow in the Lord.
  • Our church is one step ahead in spotting guests that come to church first time.
  • So guest are likely to return and get plugged in to serving Jesus!
  • A new person needs to feel welcome and wanted and not “overlooked”. If some one comes in and we miss them because we were preoccupied or just did not notice them then they may not want to come back. They may never have another chance to find God. We all just need to always look for those who could easily be overlooked or the ones who are timid or feel like they are bothering you..
  • People need to connect quickly to a person/s or they may not at all.
  • If people feel welcomed and valued, they will want to come back.
  • If new people come and don’t initially feel a connection, they are less likely to return.
  • Because sometimes we don’t see everyone that is new
