Hurdles
  • We are an established congregation and rooted more in what makes us comfortable than in what God is calling us to.
  • Unsure
  • Don’t believe there is a hurdle, everyone does a great job!
  • I think we need more people to be involved in services
  • Right now its Covid- should maintain Social Distancy and not get to close to individuals. Also I feel that many who may be wanting to “check out” a Church may be reluctant to come
  • Just keep Jesus first he will help us in the long run.
  • Covid and people taking precautions
  • We need to prioritize it as an issue; therefore making it a goal to make guests feel welcome and included.
  • Current member/volunteer burnout, which causes a lack of member resources to be available or to invite.
  • Lack of volunteers to be the “go to” person for ministries. Many of us have great ideas for serving our church family and community, but no one wants the responsibility of “taking on the task.”
  • Sometimes not all people show up after advertising for the churches projects.
  • Commitment from volunteers?
  • I am not sure.
  • I think our church just needs a few updates, signage, just bring it up to what I feel would help bring into 2022!
  • Music, Greeting personally before service Closing more as a group, group song, service/go forth in peace
  • Maybe it’s growing in awareness and intentionality that Sunday morning is less about ourselves and turning our focus on others, particularly those we do not yet know. To become more invitational to ‘come and see’
  • Covid – not many are attending . We are in comfort Zone – we are in comfort zone. Have to be able to break out if this Zone. Take chances – it is more than just attending on Sunday
  • COVID issues
  • Time commitment, people to volunteer, and lack of a set training process for volunteers.
Enablers
  • The harvest is plentiful in our area. God has placed us in a position to reach our unchurched neighbors. We need to be ready for them.
  • Our church has less capacity in years before
  • So everyone feels welcome.
  • More people
  • Guests are important. They may or may not know Jesus. It is the Church Responsibility to offer Jesus and demonstrate the Character of Jesus to all. A Place A Purpose A Passion. “All are Welcome” and we should demonstrate this.every Sunday
  • The virus really hurt our church. But there are still faithful people in our church.
  • Because we want the church to be inviting towards people to spread the word of god
  • When guests have a good experience, that is how your church grows.
  • The community’s need for relationships is only going to get worse. In a time where new routines are being made after COVID, we can use this time to reach out and offer a network of support to those who may have been isolated.
  • Our church is located in the center of several subdivisions, yet none of those neighbors attend our church regularly or even visit… Our outreach and community participation isn’t at an “invitation” level. Although, we certainly want it to be… we lack volunteers to take on these positions.
  • We need more of a population of atendees towards both services and for more word to get out.
  • No one should ever feel unwelcome in church. We want people to leave filled with hope and gladness.
  • So we can have people in the community want to be part of our church so they can develop a relationship with the Lord. Also when people do come to visit our church they see Christ in us.
  • To continue to evolve with the times.
  • Need to continue growth of church.
  • People are hungry for connection and hope. We want to be ready to meet their need by providing a place to: belong with a hope-filled people, discover the grace and personal love of Christ, and respond to the Lord’s call with confidence that we walk our Faith journey together.
  • People need to feel safe and welcome when coming to church.
  • Faith has recognized it is imperative we start including all, be inviting, and give Visitors attention they deserve. We are to be a Light in the world. The main reason for doing this model is to Present Jesus to more people, to create leaders in the Church, to allow others to grow spiritually..
  • guest retention
  • Reach more of our community to include them into God’s family of believers.
