Hurdles
  • Fostering hearts that naturally want to serve Christ and be a part of what he is doing through His church.
  • I believe the biggest hurdle is to get our church population to realize a need to be a volunteer and the need for more volunteers.
  • Possibly not having the right people, time, or resources to tackle this problem.
  • Number of volunteers
  • Knowing what a visitor experiences compared to what members experience.
  • Getting the volunteers and congregation to catch the vision and begin to make strides towards it that bring joy and excitement.
  • Culture & Technology.
Enablers
  • If someone has taken the hard step to walk through our door to connect with God, then the church needs to do all it can to make things easier and comfortable, so they don’t give up because things are confusing or complicated.
  • We are here to serve the Lord and that means to serve his people. We want to be available for those that are searching for God.
  • Right, or wrong, guests often base their decision on coming back based on their first experience during their visit.
  • To reach the unchurched and inspire those that are currently attending.
  • As someone who just recently went through looking for a new church home, first impressions are extremely important. Comfort and feeling accepted bring people back.
  • If the church is not welcoming toward guests, they won’t be likely to continue attending. I don’t want to steal believers from other churches, but when there are individuals without a church give I want to see them get connected and grow.
  • Decrease in numbers.
